The use of EasyTrails GPS requests that personal data be collected. Failure to provide certain personal data may make it impossible for this application to provide its services.

The personal data may be freely provided by the user or collected automatically when using this Application.

Please note that EasyTrails GPS does not encrypt application data, including personal data. However, application data is protected by the operating system itself and is normally not accessible from third parties except on explicit user authorization.

Geolocation data

This Application collects user location data to provide location-based services, including displaying coordinates of user, locating user on map, recording tracks, following routes.

This information is needed for the application to operate correctly.

EasyTrails GPS will never share user location data with third parties unless explicitly requested by the user during export operations.

This information can be deleted from EasyTrails GPS by deleting any recorded tracks and waypoints that contain this information.

Step count data

On devices with appropriate sensors, this Application collects steps count data and associates it to recorded tracks, shown alongside other track statistics.

EasyTrails GPS will never share steps count data with third parties unless explicitly requested by the user during export operations.

This information can be deleted from EasyTrails GPS by deleting any recorded tracks that contain this information.

Health data (Android)

On Android devices, this application is capable of interfacing with health data system such as Google Fit and / or Health Connect to retrieve health information and associate them to recorded tracks.

Collected data include:

Heart rate data

Step count data coming from health data systems is obtained only at user explicit request and is used solely to display today’s step count in application dashboard screen. This information is displayed to the user but not stored in any way.

Heart rate data coming from health data systems is obtained only at user explicit request, post track recording, saved alongside recorded track data and shown in statistics and charts. This capability is meant to be used to enrich recorded tracks with heart rate information on devices where this information is available only indirectly (such as smart watches paired to Google Fit or Samsung Health).

EasyTrails GPS will never share health data with third parties unless explicitly requested by the user during export operations.

This information can be deleted from EasyTrails GPS by deleting any recorded tracks that contain this information.

Heart rate data (iOS)

For users who have a compatible Bluetooth heart rate monitor, this Application can collect user heart rate data. This information will be saved alongside recorded track data and shown in statistics and charts.

EasyTrails GPS will by default share heart rate data to HealthKit on compatible devices. Users can opt out by turning off saving heart rate data to HealthKit from within EasyTrails GPS settings screens.

This information can be deleted from EasyTrails GPS by deleting any recorded tracks that contain this information.

HealthKit is an activity data handling service provided by Apple Inc. that enables the owner to access or store activity data.

Heart rate data (Android)

EasyTrails GPS will, if enabled at user request, share heart rate data to Google Fit and / or Health Connect.

This information can be deleted from EasyTrails GPS by deleting any recorded tracks that contain this information.

Analytics data

EasyTrails GPS collects anonymous usage statistics to determine which features are used the most by our users, thus helping us understand which areas we should focus on when adding new features or improving existing ones.

Users can opt out by turning off usage statistics collection from within EasyTrails GPS settings screens.

Crash logs data

EasyTrails GPS collects crash logs to fix bugs and improve the quality of the application.
Crash logs include device-specific information but do not include personal data information.
